Are you about to defend your thesis? Welcome to a seminar about the dissertation process. Erik Sundström, the chair of the dissertation committee at KI, will go through the steps on your way to a successful public defense. Also Catharina Sköld, psychologist, will give advice about how to manage the dissertation stress.
Programmet är ettårigt och startar i mars 2012. Adepterna ska inom programmets ram identifiera, beskriva och analysera mekanismer och strukturer som främjar eller motverkar utvecklingen av en jämställd forskarkarriär vid KI.
Grundkursen kommer att ges tre gånger under våren 2012. Anmälan till första kursen är nu öppen. Kursen är obligatorisk för den som ska registreras som huvudhandledare och inte sedan tidigare handlett en doktorand som avlagt svensk doktorsexamen.
Forskarhandledningspedagogik är en fortsättningskurs inom handledarutbildning med fokus är på doktorandens lärande och på pedagogiken i forskarhandledningen. Deltagarna får bekanta sig med pedagogiska teorier och forskning kring lärande och får olika praktiska verktyg för att stimulera doktorandens lärande. Kursen vänder sig till den som har gått grundkursen för forskarhandledare samt webbkurs för forskarhandledare eller har motsvarande kompetens.
Ledarskap, kreativitet och gruppdynamik - är en fortsättningskurs inom handledarutbildning med inriktning mot ledarskap och vänder sig till den som har gått den obligatoriska grundkursen inom forskarhandledarutbildningen eller har motsvarande kompetens. Kursens målgrupp är den som leder en forskningsgrupp, klinisk verksamhetsgrupp eller har någon annan typ av ledarroll och är intresserad av att utveckla sig som handledare och ledare.

The program runs for one year and starts in March 2012. Ten doctoral students and ten postdocs will during the program identify, describe and analyze mechanisms and structures influencing development towards gender equal research careers at KI.
Introductory Doctoral Supervision Course – The course is compulsory for a supervisor who has not previously acted as a principal supervisor for a doctoral student achieving a Swedish doctorate degree. During the spring the course will be provided on three occasions - twice in a week-format and once in the format of 2+3 days. The course will be given in Swedish or English.
Pedagogy for doctoral supervisors is a continuation of the obligatory introductory course in doctoral supervisor, and focuses on learning processes and supervisory pedagogy.
